I've got some big, big plans...

Here's the best part about landing your first data job...

Having time to pursue other passions.

I don't care how much you love data.
I'm a data dork, too.
But you better have non-data passions.

If you don't, then that doesn't sound like a fun life.

Since I just finished my adventures in the "data job search" world, I know how much it sucks.

You spend 10+ hours a week on interview prep.
You spend 10+ hours a week applying for jobs.
You spend 50+ hours a week stressing out.

Sound familiar?

I thought so.

But once you land a job, you'll have more time for your other passions.

For me, it's learning programming languages.

Not for data analysis purposes. I'm learning them because I think backend development is cool. And it's something I want to explore in the future.

So here's my current plan...

To improve my Python skills, I wanna do a big project. Something no one else has done before -- or almost no one else.

I'm gonna create one of the coolest data newsletters out there. Just for you.

And here's where programming comes in...

It will be fully automated. Running in the AWS Cloud like a big boy.

I'll write scripts that find the best LinkedIn posts about data so I can share "3-5 of the best data posts you missed yesterday."

Every. Damn. Day.

Now how does that sound?
Too ambitious? Or just ambitious enough?
